I Am Thankful For My Dog

It has been almost three years now that we have had Molly. I still remember distinctly driving to pick her up along with her brother Toby. They were both the smallest of the litter and molly had her variations on her paws and chest which left them to be the last to go. We drove straight to the store after getting her to pickup a dog bowl and collar. Ever since she and I have been the best of friends, she follows me everywhere and we have a special connection.

I am Thankful For A Companion

I love to spend time outdoors and Molly loves to go with me. I am thankful for a companion who wants to go everywhere with me. Here she is in my truck chewing on her favorite thing a plastic soda bottle.

Molly is the best hiking companion I could ask for, we live close to a large canyon with miles of hiking trails here she is last winter on a hike. I love that when I hike I have someone to keep me company as well as watch for danger.

Unconditional Love

I love that dogs love you no matter what. No matter how good or bad your day was they are always excited to see you and spend time with you. Dogs have the unique ability to cheer you up no matter what, a simple lick on the hand or wag of the tail can be a very uplifting feeling. Dogs are quick to forgive and always want to make you feel their love.

During this time of being gratitude I think it is important that we take the time to be thankful for those in our lives who give so much of themselves so that we can be happy and our pets especially dogs are at the top of that list.
